A few words from
your new President.
I am writing this
to introduce my wife Marie and myself, John Turner, to those of you that
do not know us. We have been married for 47 years, raised two children,
moved a number of times for my job and actively participated in many
camping and recreational activities. We now live in Albany, Oregon and
drive a 2002 Trek. We are retired and almost never can be found at home
because of the many activities that we spend our time enjoying. In
addition to spending time in our Trek we also like to ride our 1990
Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and spend time on the water in our boat.
We bought our Trek
in the fall of 2002 and attended our first Safari Rally in Florida that
winter. Since then we have attended all three of the National Trek
Rallies and were in attendance at the NWTFC organizational meeting in
Toppenish, WA. We have found the members of the club fun to spend time
with and hope that all of you will find time to attend at least one of
our Rallies each year.
Our first Rally of
2012 will be an informal gathering at the SWTFC’s annual Rally at
Quartzite, AZ the third complete weekend of January. Following in June
will be the FMCA Rally in Coos Bay, OR. Later in the summer Ed and
Jeanette Block will be hosting the Rogue River Adventure Rally in Gold
Beach, OR. Please see the NWTFC web site for dates and details on each
of the rallies. Rallies are a great time to experience fun and
fellowship with other RV’rs that share your desire to own and drive a
small, quality built motor home.
We look forward to
meeting each of you during our tenure as Presidents.
John and Marie
