The Monaco ‘Western Family Round-Up” theme this fall was ‘DISCOVER THE
OREGON TRAIL.’ Attending, were:
| Ed & Jeanette Block |
Doug & Vera Clark |
| Ken & Judy Schindler |
Ben Paschall Penny Braden |
| Lou & Eileen Eddy |
Fred & Marilyn Rose |
| Frank Kummerfeldt & Lorraine Gabel |
Serving on Chuck Souter’s posse of SHERIFFS was a fine volunteer
experience for Ken & Judy, Ed & Jeanette and Lou & Eileen, who oversaw
dining hall seating and general order for the evening meal &
entertainment. Official hat, vest & badge were provided! As usual, all
activities were well organized and a lot of fun.
Teddy Eddy looked smart for the pet parade in his Dog Pound Athletic
Club outfit! Jeanette & Penny enjoyed craft projects and Eileen proudly
completed the Ladies Driving class. Monaco products & vendor seminars,
various classes & shopping kept everyone busy and an ice cream social &
gift giveaway, keg party, wine & cheese tasting, and evening happy hours
gave all plenty of opportunity to tour the many tempting display coaches!
No surprise quite a few sold.
Many of us took advantage of the free services of Monaco/Safari techs
to fix a problem or two on our coaches. A Safari Adventures camera crew
cornered Ed & Jeanette for a happy Trek owners photo wearing Safari
shirts. Who knows where that photo will wind up! Catered meals were yummy
and entertainment great. Music performed by The Marlins (four brothers
entertaining nationwide for 25 years) had us clapping & couples dancing,
as did the wonderful performance & patriotic tunes of Lee Greenwood and
his band. We’ll remember the occasionally gross, but clean humor of Dick
Hardwick. Additional members joined the group for the NWTFC’s membership
meeting following the rally.
