The
What's Cook'n Albany Pre-Rally was held at the Keeler Ranch from
May 25 to June 1st. There were 10 TREKS and a new member stopped
by to visit as they had just purchased their TREK and live in
nearby Albany. Wet and Wonderful Oregon continued to have its
share of rain over the Memorial Day Weekend, so most everything
got moved into the barn so that we could stay dry. We had a
wonderful time visiting and catching up with each other’s lives.
The
food, as always at the Keeler's, was out of this world. They
outdid themselves demonstrating both their culinary skills and
their AMAZING hospitality!! Truly heartfelt thanks from everyone
who participated. The weather was, for the most part,
co-operative. The men, typically, helped each other out on this
and that regarding their respective TREKS. Many model years were
represented, both older and newer. It's always nice to see the
innovation of the custom fits that folks have done or had done
to improve their coaches.
Ed and
Vera Clark presented their timely and most informative "Boondocking"
talk and answered questions from a very interested audience. We
were very fortunate that even though almost everyone parked on
the grass in the pasture, no one got stuck.
A great
time was had by all. The best thing about our Pre-Rally, in a
direct quote from Lee Keeler, "Judy & I cannot wait till the
next rally that we can host!"
