Annual Champoeg Pre-Rally
May 31 thru June 3, 2009 |
For the third time the NWTFC has chosen Champoeg
State Park in Oregon to form up and caravan to the FMCA Rally in
Albany. We had great weather for the most part. Many Good Times were
had by all. This is a great park to walk and bike and just unwind
for a couple of days before our FMCA volunteer work begins.
Lee and Judy Keeler again coordinated with the Park to reserve the
RV Group area. We had 18 coaches this year, which included some
California Trekers’ that were staying in the regular RV Park. We
invited them to join us and they did and caravanned to Albany with
us. This Pre-Rally continues to grow and in future years we will
probably need to find a larger facility to meet at.
Lee & Judy provided the main course for the Potluck that was held on
Monday night, which included chicken and pork loin along with home
made rolls. There was an abundance of side dishes and deserts to
make a wonderful meal.
As your Rally Master I would like to thank all those that
participated and helped make this such a great rally.
Next year the Pre-Rally will probably be held at the Keeler Ranch
prior to the FMCA, Redmond Rally. Ya All Come Now.
