The weather was coolish but sunny during the days, so we were able
to meet with each other casually and comfortably during the day. Most
people remained close to the park for the duration as their coaches were
in various stages of servicing at Brazels. It made it very comfortable
and sociable to have people to interact with while your coach was in the
service bay, instead of the usual having to sit in a waiting room.
There were 15 coaches that kept the Brazel staff fully occupied right
to closing time on Friday, and in fact one coach had to be left to
finish servicing for the next week. It was a successful event for the
Brazel organization as well.
We were given a one hour presentation by the Workhorse rep, who also
answered several questions for us.
All in all, the staff and Trekers had a fun time together.
Among the 15 coaches in attendance, three were guests who heard about
our rally and wanted to attend. We expect that they will be making
application to join us in the future.
Mike Bronzini played “CheF”?? for the 3 great BBQ lunches they
provided and the Friday night farewell steak dinner. We as a group had a
very nice meal at a local restaurant on Thursday evening.
On Friday, Jon Brazel, Steve’s son, flew over our event in a
helicopter and took a picture with us standing outside the service
center, with our coaches in the park. You really can’t make any of us
out in the picture, but it added a little interest to the day. He put
together a collage and made a poster of it that you will see in the
picture section – a historical record of a super event.
Sandra Gilson, our Historian, surprised us all by having an album of
pictures of the rally beautifully displayed at our farewell dinner!
Many thanks to our Rally Master, Lee and Judy Keeler, and Helen
Anderson for their contribution of making the arrangements. It was a
first-rate idea, and deserves to be repeated sometime in the future.
The Park was clean with good water and 30/50 amp power. You may want
to consider it in your future plans.
Respectfully submitted,
