Anacortes ‘Tulip Festival Rally’ 2007

NWTFC Tulip Festival
Anacortes, WA,

April 14 –- April 17, 2007

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival at Anacortes, WA, was cause for the first NWTFC 2007 rally. Twenty-four coaches, including two guests, registered for water-front RV Sites at the Northern Lights Casino RV Park. We were honored to have Rebecca Risser, Safari Events Coordinator, also join us.

Wagon Masters Roland and Suzan Williams, who live locally, put together a fun-filled, four-day rally. The Williams treated early arrivers on Friday, April 13, to a wine and cheese tasting at their home.

Organized activities included lunch at a pizza parlor where the general business meeting was held. Jeff Brazel from Brazel’s RV Performance in Centralia, WA, and Miles Williams of RVServicesOnLine.com mingled with members. Mr. Williams performed refrigerator recall service during the rally.

Tours through some of the largest tulip fields in the US, tours of the Sea Bear Sea Food Packing Plant and San Juan Yachts Boat Building and a sunset dinner at the Oyster Bar Restaurant rounded out activities.

NWTFC members look forward to a “wilderness adventure” rally at Diamond Lake, OR, in September (Wagon Master John Turner). Additionally, our members will be volunteering as happy hour managers at the Safari Mt. Hood, OR, Pre-Rally and as FMCA store assistants at the FMCA Convention in Redmond, OR, this August.
