At the Port Townsend Rally business meeting the issue of the club obtaining an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) was discussed. It was decided to research the cost of doing so and the logistics of the club handling an AED. Sue Bjornson researched the costs and submitted that information to the Board of Directors.
On March 2, 2019, the Executive Committee approved sending a ballot out to the membership with a recommendation to purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED). The proposal to the membership indicated that the purchase, if approved, would be funded by a designated gift fund raising effort and not from current budget funds or reserves. That recommendation was voted upon by the membership and passed.
